Kojima will be involved throughout MGSV development

Konami has issued a press release confirming that Kojima will still be involved throughout the development of Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain.

This release comes in response to yesterday's rumor regarding Kojima's fallout with Konami, especially after the organisational restructure, effective 1st April, that no longer lists Kojima as part of the executive team. 

Konami's release reads: "The latest entry in the series, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, will be released with Hideo Kojima as originally announced on September 1, 2015 in North America, Central and South America and Europe as well as on September 2 in Japan and elsewhere in Asia.

"After the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Konami plans to also continue releasing titles in the Metal Gear series. We would like to offer our deep gratitude for your continued support of the Metal Gear series."

Furthermore, Konami has announced it is in the planning stages to develop a new Metal Gear game. It also encourages competent developers to apply for the vacant positions.
