Leak: New Destiny expansion lands September 15

A leak revealed by Kotaku has suggested that the next Destiny expansion, The Taken King, will be released on September 15.

According to the report, the expansion will open three new subclasses for each Destiny class, with new elemental super abilities for each class. The Warlock will get an electrical storm, Hunters will have a gravity bow and Titans will receive a flaming hammer.

Of course players can expect new PvP maps for Strike mode, and there’ll also be a new raid mission featuring Oryx, the father of Crota; the raid boss from the first expansion.

Although there has been no official word from Bungie, it’s likely we’ll hear more about it at E3 next week.
