New Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege images
New images have been released of Rainbow Six Siege, the latest instalment of the first person shooter from Ubisoft.
There has been a flurry of Rainbow Six Siege information over the last few weeks and the game seems to be shaping up to be an impressive addition to the franchise.
For the first time, gamers will be involved in sieges, a totally new game style of assault. With the ability to transform an environment into a stronghold, enemies and attackers alike, will utilise the environments, technology including drones and tactical maps, to create new options for breach or defensive gameplay.
The trailer also outlines some of the counter-terrorism forces we can expect to see in the game; each with their own unique brand of counter-terrorism specialising in “short range” combat.
Rainbow Six Siege will include operators coming from five of the most worldwide renowned CTU: the British SAS, the American SWAT, the French GIGN, the German GSG9 and the Russian SPETSNAZ. Interestingly, you’ll be able to combine operatives from different agencies to create new team strategies.
Ubisoft also want us to know how important destruction is in the gameplay. With totally customisable strongholds, the assumption is you’ll be able to blow the environment to shreds. We’ll let the video do the talking.
The game is due to be released 13 October this year, but for those that want early access you can try to register for the closed beta here.
