Bethesda reveals more on BattleCry
Bethesda has revealed a new PC, free-to-play third person action combat game called BattleCry.
It’s a reimagined 20th century war between the most powerful empires around, each of whom will send their most elite warriors to the battlefront. You can find out more in the trailer below, but you can expect high tech gadgets, awesome melee weapons and specialisations based on your class and faction.
You’ll have a choice of 15 warriors to choose from, with five classes and three factions also making your character as unique as you like.
The three factions are Imperial Marines, Cossacks Empire and Han Republicans. Within those factions you can fully customise your warrior class (from the aforementioned 15), unlocking new abilities as you progress.
The game will combine fast paced shooting with team combat and competitive multiplayer action. It’ll support 24 player battles, as well as smaller 12 player team battles across WarZones; areas dedicated to war, the battleground is contained to one area.
Release date is yet to be announced, however you can register for the open beta here with the beta expected to start in Autumn this year.
