It’s official, Bethesda’s most ambitious and highly anticipated open-world game, Fallout 4, will be coming to consoles on November 10 this year.

More details were revealed at E3 this year with behind the scenes footage and gameplay.

For those familiar with the game, you’ll find yourself in a post nuclear apocalypse with the sole purpose to survive.

This massive, open world game will allow you to explore anything you like, with all the decisions being made by you. You can play alone or join a faction. You’re back in the Wasteland. But this time in Boston. And you’ll be able to build your own world, Minecraft-style. You can move anything around and build on anything. It’s pretty impressive.

You can create your own character, both male and female which are fully customisable using a drag tool. It’s the same tool the developer uses to create their non-playable characters in the game. Once you’ve created your characters, male and female, the baby will generate. This is all done in your family home pre war and you’ll be getting a run through with the Vault-Tec employee that makes it all possible.

You can also play the game in first or third person and you won’t be required to stay and listen to someone if you’ve started a dialogue exchange.

There’s also new combat, VATs is back and you’ll be able to wear a load of different types of armour.

But Fallout isn’t Fallout without the Pip-Boy, your inventory and stat management watch type thing. You can also find holotapes, cartridges that slot into the top of the Pip-Boy which allow you to explore more of the lore or even play video games. Donkey Kong was demonstrated. But if you want your own Pip-Boy, you can have a real life one which comes with the collector’s edition. You’ll also be able to use a mobile device as a second screen as the Pip-Boy when you’re playing, which is pretty cool.

Of course you can expect crafting systems for weapons and armour. We’re not going to go into that. Instead, we’re going to invite you to watch the Bethesda E3 conference here where you’ll learn a lot more about Fallout 4 and the rest of the titles to expect. Oh, and pictures, lots of them.
