Hitman: Absolution to include checkpoints
The newest game in the Hitman series will include checkpoints.
This is because game director Tore Blystad wants players to attempt different methods of gameplay through trial and error.
However he doesn’t want the process to be too time-consuming so checkpoints have been added.
Blystad told NowGamer: “We don’t want players to be investing half an hour or more in a level and then dying at the very end, because that’s not very fun. We want the player to invest in the level, maybe fail, but not losing too much time investment.
“Just trying stuff out first and that’s what checkpoints allows.”
In previous Hitman games players could save their progress during missions, except on the hardest difficulty settings.
