FarmVille 2 announced
Zynga has revealed FarmVille 2 is in the works.
The sequel to the popular Facebook game will introduce 3D graphics, allowing players to view their crop harvesting from different angles.
Chief technology officer at Zynga, Cadir Lee, told the BBC: “One of the things that people will notice right away is that it’s our first 3D game.
“All the buildings, crops and animals are shown in 3D. You can see them from multiple directions, they can rotate, you can see them more richly – so it provides a certain pop in the game itself."
Lee also spoke about adding more social elements to FarmVille 2.
He added: “The game also has more social elements and a lot more crafting: the crops that you harvest are what you use in the game to make things which you then use to make other things, like on a natural farm.”
It is estimated that over 21 million users still log onto the original FarmVille game at least once a month.
We’ll have more information on FarmVille 2 soon.
