Joe Danger Touch hitting iPad and iPhone

Hello Games has announced Joe Danger Touch will be coming to the iPad and iPhone later this year.

The game has been designed for touchscreen controls and features 50 levels and numerous playable characters.

Players can swipe the touchscreen to wheelie, tap the screen to jump and flick obstacles from your path.

Hello Games managing director, Sean Murray, said: "This has been a secret pet project of mine for quite a while, which I'm delighted to let the world see for the first time. It's such an amazing opportunity for us to be able to reach all those millions of beautiful iOS gamers."

Joe Danger first appeared for download on the PS3 in 2010 before making his way to the Xbox Live Arcade a year later.

A release date hasn’t been revealed but the game is expected to be available this year.
