iPad Mini set for October release

A smaller version of the iPad aimed at students and gamers could come in October.
US analyst Pacific Crest has predicted the iPad Mini’s release and also delivered some details about the tablet.
The iPad Mini will feature a 7.8-inch screen with 8GB and 16GB versions.
The tablet is expected to cost $299 USD upon release with 35 million units predicted to sell in its first full year (2013).
Pacific Crest also reported that Apple would cease production of the iPad 2 from the winter, with the iPad Mini taking its place.
