Deus Ex movie to be made
CBS Films has secured the rights to develop a movie based on Deus Ex.
The film will reportedly be based on the Human Revolution reboot of the series released last year.
CBS Films will work closely with developers Eidos Montreal when making the adaptation.
CEO of Square Enix Europe, Phil Rogers, said: “As the millions of fans who have played the Deus Ex games for more than a decade will tell you, these games catapult you into a universe that is stimulating, engaging and relevant.
“We’re firm believers in building strong partnerships, and so we’re thrilled to be working with CBS Films on bringing the unique Deus Ex experience to the big-screen.”
No concrete news has been announced regarding those involved with the film but executive producer of The Departed, Roy Lee, has been linked to produce.
It’s been a busy time for game-movie adaptations recently, with Ubisoft also releasing details of an Assassin’s Creed film.
