Need for Speed film gets release date

The Need for Speed movie will be released worldwide 7 February 2014.

Dreamworks Studios announced a deal to bring the game to the big screen last month.

Brothers George and John Gatins have written an original script for the film, reported to be based on the Need for Speed series instead of an individual game.

Scott Waugh has been chosen to direct after his work on Act of Valor.
