Kinect PlayFit launches on Xbox Live

Kinect PlayFit was launched as a free download on Xbox Live today.

PlayFit is a new fitness dashboard that aggregates and tracks the calories you burn when playing a variety of Kinect games.

The Kinect PlayFit will work with titles such as Dance Central 2, Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012 and Kinect Star Wars.

Achievements, Gamerscore and Avatar awards can also be earned through using the application.

You can view your stats over time and see leaderboards ranking you against other Xbox Live members.

The Kinect PlayFit is the first ever fitness tracking application for consoles.
