Grand Theft Auto 3 will launch on the PlayStation Network as a PS2 Classic.
The game will be a straight port meaning no HD graphics or Trophies.
GTA3 for PSN has a release date of 1 August at a price of $9.99 USD.
GTA3 was recently ported to iOS and Android devices to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the game.
The game appeared on an American ratings board last month along with Vice City.
