E3 staying in Los Angeles
The Entertainment Software Association has announced that E3 will be held in Los Angeles for three more years.
As of next year the event will be held at the usual LA Convention Center as well as other smaller venues such as LA Live.
ESA CEO, Michael Gallagher, said: “We are proud to partner with Los Angeles for another three years.
“The city serves as a strong backdrop for the video game industry’s biggest announcements and we look forward to remaining in LA.”
It was rumoured that E3 could see a change of venue next year with cities including New York and Chicago considered as potential destinations.
Timothy Leiweke, president of LA Convention Center owner AEG, said: “ESA’s commitment to remain in Los Angeles is a critical endorsement of Los Angeles as one of the nation’s most important convention destinations.”
