Need for Speed on Vita is same as consoles

Criterion has claimed the PlayStation Vita version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted is 'exactly the same game' as console versions.

Game producer, Matt Webster, told VideoGamer the handheld version contains the, "same big open-world... same cars... same Autolog features and the same competition".

He added: "We're really, really thrilled with what we've managed to do on Vita. It's coming along really well."

Players that earn Speed Points in the Vita version can transfer them across to other platforms.

Webster added: "The important thing is that any Speed Points that I earn on Vita or on console or PC or iOS or Android, everything is aggregated into the Most Wanted list, and that's how you compete to be Most Wanted amongst your friends."

The one difference between the Vita and console versions is online play. Vita's multiplayer is restricted to four players while the console versions support up to 12 players.
