Sony CEO: Vita sales as expected

PlayStation Vita sales are roughly what the company expected, claimed Sony CEO Kaz Hirai.

The Vita was launched earlier this year with sales lower than the PSP during the same time period.

Hirai said he wasn't concerned with the poor figures.

He told Reuters: "Worldwide, the Vita is pretty much along where we would expect it to be, maybe trending behind in certain territories."

Earlier this month Sony Worldwide Studios boss, Shuhei Yoshida, said it was far too early to be thinking of a price cut for the Vita.
