Football Manager Handheld 2013 is coming
Sports Interactive has confirmed that a Football Manager Handheld game will launch before the end of the year.
Football Manager 2013 was announced yesterday but there was little news of a version for iOS and Android platforms.
Sports Interactive boss, Miles Jacobson, claimed a new Football Manager Handheld is in the works.
He told Eurogamer: "There is a new version coming, and again, it should be out before Christmas."
Jacobson said a version for Android would be released even though the piracy rate on the platform had risen from 9:1 to 11:1.
He added: "There is definitely a new Android version coming because, thankfully, we have hit the sales target that we needed to, despite all the huge piracy.
"It actually got worse than 9:1 - we got up to 11:1 at one point. But we still managed to hit the target that we'd pre-defined beforehand."
Jacobson also admitted the Sports Interactive team need to see if Apple announces a new iPhone this year before putting the finishing touches on the game.
"We kind of need to wait to see whether Apple do announce a new iPhone or not before we can actually finalise the feature set.
"That's one of the things with the iPhone and Android world: it's so fast moving that we have to move really quickly as well. That's why I don't really want to announce anything on that until we're ready."
A PlayStation Vita version is not planned.
