Wii U will have 8GB and 32GB models
Nintendo has announced the Wii U will be available in 8GB and 32GB models.
The news was revealed during a Nintendo Direct conference held this morning, where a Japan launch date was also confirmed as 8 December.
The 8GB model will come with white Wii U's while the 32GB model comes in black.
Both models come boxed with an AC adaptor, a GamePad, a GamePad AC adaptor and a HDMI cable. The 32GB model also comes with a stand for the console and GamePad, as well as a GamePad charging dock.
Also announced was the Nintendo Network Premium scheme, which comes with all 32GB Wii U's.
Members of the scheme are given Wii eShop points and a 10% discount for digital downloads. Membership runs until December 2014.
Release date and price for other regions is expected to be announced later today.
