Standalone DayZ game may drop back to 2013
The standalone release of zombie-survival game DayZ may fall back to 2013.
The full version was announced earlier this year, with creator Dean Hall saying it had to be released in 2012.
Now he's taken to the official DayZ development blog to say that it will be pushed back if needed.
"We are still working towards a target for an initial foundation before the end of the year," said Hall.
"But we will slip this date if needed, we will not compromise the project for the short-term gain of meeting this date."
Hall revealed that the decision on a release date would likely be made after an assessment next week.
"We will be assessing the results of our major architectural changes at the end of next week, and reporting the results to everyone when we have assessed that."
