Tomb Raider multiplayer gets details
The first details for the multiplayer modes in the upcoming Tomb Raider have been revealed.
Multiplayer was confirmed last week, with a Crystal Dynamics community manager confirming its development at Deus Ex: Human Revolution studio Eidos Montreal.
Now OXM has given the details of what the multiplayer offering will consist of, including Team Deathmatch, Rescue and Cry for Help modes.
Team Deathmatch will see players taking control of either Lara's surviving friends or a group of hostile natives in a best-of-three match.
Traps and destructible environments will give the gameplay an added twist, while players can wield Lara's bow from the single-player campaign.
Rescue involves the survivors collecting med packs and delivering them to destinations on the map, as natives aim to take them out and score high kill counts.
And finally Cry for Help will have more of a focus on discovery over conflict, with details about this mode remaining a mystery for now.
Players can take control of different characters and select custom loadouts to compliment their style of play, while experience points can be used to improve stats and unlock new characters.
