Tomb Raider to be localised in Arabic
The upcoming Tomb Raider reboot will be localised in Arabic, Eidos Montreal's Joe Khoury revealed.
This will make Tomb Raider the first Square Enix title to be localised for the Middle Eastern audience.
Khoury believes this is an important step for Arabic Tomb Raider fans.
"For the first time we're releasing Tomb Raider in Arabic, completely localised," he told ArabicGamers.
"This is important. My Arabic is not 100%, as you can probably tell because I'm living in Canada now, but all my friends and family in Lebanon and I would love for them to play my game in Arabic or in English.
"So for me this is really important, and I believe those that remember Lara and those who played Tomb Raider 1, 2 and 3 are going to realise how much love we've put into the game, whether it be single player or multiplayer."
Nadine Njeim, host of The Voice in the Middle East and Miss Lebanon 2007, will be the Arabic voice of Lara Croft.
