Borderlands 2 could be getting new character

Borderlands 2 could be getting new DLC in the form of a sixth playable character, according to Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford.

The shooter has so far seen three storyline expansions and one new character class added since its release last September.

Pitchford revealed that a sixth character could be added in the future, but couldn't comment any further.

"Almost certainly yes," Pitchford said on Twitter when asked about a new character. "We're working on it."

Pitchford was then questioned about the much sought after level cap rise.

"News as soon as we can," he added. "Sorry I can't offer more yet - I get skewered when things change in development, whatever the reason.

"We're working on new DLC for these things in addition the campaign DLC offered in the season pass."

Borderlands 2 has done very well since it launched, selling over six million copies and remaining on track to be the highest selling game in 2K's history.
