EA opens DICE LA studio for Star Wars IP

EA has opened a new DICE studio in Los Angeles, which will start work on a new Star Wars IP.
The studio is set to become a key part of EA's plans for the Star Wars franchise, which the publisher acquired the rights to last week.
Having a DICE studio in LA will also help the developer with recruiting talent from top developers based in America.
"There is an extreme talent pool over here that we want a part of," DICE general manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson told WSJ. "It's no secret that our main competitor is there," he said in reference to Infinity Ward and Treyarch.
The studio has already begun hiring, with members of Medal of Honor studio Danger Close being employed and plans to add a further 60 staff by the end of 2013.
