Next-gen Splinter Cell game already being planned
There are already plans in the works for a next-generation Splinter Cell game, according to Blacklist art director Scott Lee.
Blacklist may not be due for release until August, but that doesn't mean that future franchise iterations for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 aren't being thought about.
Lee claims that Splinter Cell is a massive series for Ubisoft and the publisher is putting a huge amount of support behind it.
"Sam Fisher and Splinter Cell is a big and very important franchise for Ubisoft, and yes they do support the franchise," Lee told ArabicGamers.
"Obviously we're working very hard on current-gen systems and we're super excited that we're going to be across all platforms.
"For next-gen there are a lot of plans in the works, obviously we can't talk about that at the moment but I definitely look forward to seeing Sam in new adventures, bigger and better as we go along.
"Sam will be back."
We'll be bringing you much more from Scott Lee, including a video interview, in the coming weeks.
