Titanfall doesn't have microtransactions
Titanfall just went even higher up in the popularity stakes as it was revealed the eagerly anticipated shooter won't include microtransactions.
Microtransactions have been a hot topic of discussion in the gaming community recently, with critics claiming that they're just a way for developers to squeeze a bit more profit from consumers at the expense of balancing.
Apparently Titanfall will have no such problems though, with developer Respawn Entertainment confirming on Twitter that microtransactions are nowhere to be found.
"Will Titanfall have microtransactions or season pass?" was a question posed to the studio on Twitter.
To which Respawn replied, "no microtransactions. I don't have any news on a season pass."
A few weeks ago it was revealed that Titanfall matches would be limited to six human players per team.
This angered some onlookers, but then Respawn said that with mechs and AI bots also in matches, there could still be 48 fighters on the map at any one time.
Titanfall arrives 11 March for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Check out our preview here.
