Assassin's Creed Comet details leak

A number of details for a game called Assassin's Creed Comet have leaked online, a game allegedly heading to the last-gen consoles.

French site GameBlog reported some details yesterday, saying that players will take control of someone called Shay, a member of the evil Templars group.

Apparently Comet will be set on the Atlantic Ocean around 1758, carrying on the sailing theme from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

You'll also be heading to New York on your adventures, while Haytham Kenway and Adewalé from previous games will make appearances.

Comet is said to be hitting the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, although PC and Wii U releases are also possible.

Assassin's Creed Unity has already been confirmed for next-gen consoles, and releasing two Assassin's Creed games in the same year would give new ammunition to fans who complain of franchise fatigue.

Ubisoft is declining to comment for now, but expect an announcement in the very near future.
