FIFA 15 could fix Arabic commentator issue
FIFA 15 could only include one Arabic commentator during matches instead of two.
FIFA games have previously had two commentators for the Arabic version, despite real-world Arabic matches only having one person doing both the play-by-play and colour commentary.
We asked lead designer Sebastian Enrique about localisation for the Middle East and about the commentators, and he heavily hinted that we would see a change for this year.
"For the two questions we have what is almost going to be the same answer, but we're going to be announcing all the languages that the game is coming in - with localisation in text plus commentators - at a later stage, probably at Gamescom," he told us.
"And I have gone on your feedback from last time for the commentators. At that point for FIFA 14 there wasn't much we could do, but even though I cannot tell you today what is going to be a yes or no to fixing the two commentators issue, it's something that we put on our list of community requests."
Last year we asked Enrique the same questions, and he said commentators were a "complex" issue because only having one might leave a lot of "empty spaces" with no one talking.
You can read up more on his answers here, although it looks like EA Sports has finally got round to fixing the matter.
We've had an extensive hands-on with FIFA 15 and we came away very impressed. You can check out our preview to get the full lowdown on our thoughts.
We'll also be posting up our full video interview with Enrique later in the week, so make sure you keep checking back for that.
