New documents possibly revealing a PlayStation 3 Super Slim have been uncovered.
Sony submitted plans with the Federal Communications Commission which appear to represent PS3 hardware labeled the 4000 series. Current PS3’s are 3000 series.
The plans show a smaller console, and rumours indicate Sony intend to reveal the new hardware at Gamescom next month.
The last PlayStation 3 redesign came in the form of the PS3 Slim, released in 2009.
Last week Sony said it aims to sell 13million more PS3’s this fiscal year. A smaller and cheaper piece of hardware could help them achieve this target.
