GTA3 for PS3 delayed

Sony has announced a delay to the planned re-release of Grand Theft Auto 3 on PlayStation 3.

The game was to launch through the PlayStation Network today but a music licensing issue has pushed the release back.

PlayStation Store director, Grace Chen, wrote on the US PlayStation Blog: “Due to an unforeseen complication, the Grand Theft Auto 3 PS2 Classic is not publishing with today’s Store post.

“We will update you when a new release date has been identified. We apologise for the inconvenience.”

PlayStation blogger, Morgan Haro, added: “There were some last minute issues with getting clearance for a certain audio track in the game.

“But the teams at Rockstar are on it to review how to best get this title on PSN.”
