Vita update locks memory cards to PSN accounts
Language »
The new firmware update for the PlayStation Vita locks memory cards to individual PlayStation Network accounts.
Players with content from multiple accounts will now have to purchase another memory card or lose their data.
Those who attempt to switch accounts will be met with the following message:
The memory card inserted in your system is linked with the following Sony Entertainment Network account.
[account name]
To use the memory card with your PS Vita system you must format the memory card.
If you format the memory card, all data on the memory card will be deleted.
The move comes just as Sony finally implement support for old PSone games on the Vita.
