F1 2012 doesn't have Grand Prix mode
Codemasters has confirmed the Grand Prix mode available in previous F1 games has been removed from F1 2012.
Grand Prix mode allowed players to create a season of races and compete as an official F1 driver.
The mode was available in all Codemasters' previous F1 games but this year players will have to go without.
A Codemasters spokesperson told Videogamer: "The Grand Prix option has been replaced with Quick Race this year so you can jump into a one-off race much easier, but you cannot create a series of races.
"The championship is now solely part of the career where you create your own driver and move between teams - the teams available to you at the start of your career are dictated by the difficulty level."
Codemasters released an F1 2012 demo this week.
